History and Reenactments
Historic Fort Steilacoom Association seeks to interpret and preserve the fort’s four remaining structures, which began construction in 1849, and provides regular public events and reenactments.
Lakewood Historical Society & History Museum brings to history of local life from its prehistoric past to the present time through displays of artifacts, photos, maps, documents and memorabilia and monthly gatherings and events.
