Downtown & Towne Center
Our beautiful and thriving downtown offers a great place for business, leisure, and community fun. In 2002, our Towne Center was remodeled and redeveloped, adding a New City Hall and a new flavor to the downtown area, with new streets, sidewalks, public art displays, and a small garden area. The walk-able shopping center in this area includes a mix of restaurants, grocery stores, and retail for residents to take advantage of.
Enjoy the beauty and architecture of downtown Lakewood, with numerous historic buildings and our small historical museum. Several exciting festivals and community events take place here annually, including SummerFEST, featuring great bands, musicians, and family activities.
