The City of Lakewood levies a tax on utilities provided within the city. The tax is currently 5% for electric and gas services and 6% for all other services. Utility Taxes may be reported to the city using this form:

Utility Tax Relief is available for qualifying citizens of Lakewood. The maximum amount of the relief is $30.00 per year. That $30.00 is divided as $10.00 each for Natural Gas, Electricity, and Telephone. More information is available on the Utility Tax Relief Program webpage.
