Dear Event Organizer,
Thank you for your interest in reserving the Sharon McGavick Student Center through the City of Lakewood. The City of Lakewood is allotted twelve days per year at this state-of-the-art facility to increase tourism in our community. We are pleased to extend this opportunity to festival and event organizers who wish to help draw visitors to our hometown.
One day of use in the facility is valued at $3500.00. The City of Lakewood is offering our twelve dates at a special rate of $500.00 per event plus 15% of gross event revenue (i.e. ticket sales, auction revenue, etc.).
To apply for use of this facility for your special event, please read the MSC Facility Use Policies and complete the attached application form. We are currently accepting applications scheduled through June 2010.
Your completed application will be reviewed by our selection committee and you will be notified within two weeks of receipt. If your event is approved, we will then accept payment of the $500.00 event fee and assist you in completing additional paperwork required by both the City and Clover Park Technical College. Please feel free to include additional documents with your application form that you think will assist our selection committee in making a decision regarding your event (i.e. photos, marketing materials, attendance reports, etc.).
