Elected to Office: January 2008

Deputy Mayor Don Anderson has served on the City Council in Position 4 since 2008. Deputy Mayor Anderson is the council liaison for the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, and serves on the Pierce County Regional Council.

Deputy Mayor Anderson’s past civic and community involvement includes serving as Board Member for Communities in Schools of Lakewood; Board President of the Tacoma Goodwill Industries; President of the Puyallup School District Board; Board Member of Rotary Club #8; volunteer firefighter; volunteer legal services lawyer; church treasurer; youth sports coach; official for high school, NCAA and Olympic Trials track and field meets; and volunteer for Paint Tacoma-Pierce Beautiful and Habitat for Humanity. Mr. Anderson also directed a successful Fire District bond campaign for new stations and equipment.

Deputy Mayor Anderson received his BA in business administration and his JD from the University of Puget Sound. He is an attorney and partner with the Tacoma firm of Eisenhower & Carlson PLLC. He served overseas as a U.S. Navy JAG Lieutenant from 1978-1981.
