Abstract:

This is a polygon based data set which represents the parcel / tax lot data which is compiled and maintained by Pierce County Assessors office. It has been geographically shifted to match the control of the 1998 digital ortho photography owned by City of Lakewood GIS Division. Sanborn mapping worked on the parcel shift using the control from the orthos and the fences and retaining walls as reference. Corrections are made as needed.

Purpose:

Developed for mapping and analysis purposes in conjunction with the 1998 digital ortho photography. All attribute data matches that of the Pierce County Assessor parcel data. If acreage is needed for analysis then where available assessor acreage should be used in place of GIS acreage.
