American Lake Park

This popular 5-acre park is located on the north shore of American Lake. It offers seasonal restroom, picnic shelter, picnic tables, a swimming beach, playground and public boat launch. Boat launch fees apply.

- Picinic shelter located near the playground. Electricity and water may be available during the summer season upon request.
Edgewater Park

This 1-acre park provides public boat launch access to Lake Steilacoom and is a nice site for picnicking. Boat launching is free of charge. Access and parking are limited.
Fort Steilacoom Park
(8714 87th Ave SW)
At 340 acres, Ft. Steilacoom Park is the largest park in Lakewood and provides a diverse mix of active and passive recreation. It features an expansive trail system, baseball, softball and soccer fields, state-of-the-art playground, off-leash dog park and picnic shelters and year round restrooms.
Ft. Steilacoom Park is a wonderful regional facility for not only the City of Lakewood, but for all who come from throughout the Puget Sound area to experience all that the park has to offer. The history of the park ranges from a military base to a self sustaining farm for Western State Hospital, to its current use as a park that boasts opportunities for passive as well as active recreation. At 340 acres it has a lake, prairie lands, historical barns, trails, sports fields, a playground, and an off leash dog park. You are sure to find a variety of activities for your enjoyment.
Facilities Available for Reservation
- Shelter #1 – accommodates 100 people. It has electricity, water, two barbeques and is located near the playground and sports fields.
- Shelter #2 – accommodates 25 people. It has one barbeque and water, but no access to electricity.
- Ball fields #1-4 have base distances ranging from 60-90 feet. All four offer pitching mounds. (Outfields may be used as soccer fields C D and E.)
- Ball field #5 is small and used for T-ball of Coach Pitch programs
- Soccer fields #A-E can accommodate regular size soccer fields. These fields are closed from mid-December through February for maintenance.
Harry Todd Park

This 17-acre park contains play equipment, two baseball fields, four basketball courts, a tennis court, two picnic shelters, picnic tables, swimming beach access, Skate Park and seasonal restrooms. Harry Todd Park is also home to the Commencement Bay Rowing Club.

- Shelter #1: This shelter is located near ball fields. Water and electricity are available in this shelter upon request.
- Shelter #2: This shelter is located near the playground and permanent restroom. Water and electricity are not available in this shelter.
- Ball field #1: Base distance ranging from 60-80 feet.
- Ball field #2: Small, grass field used for T-ball or Coach Pitch.
Kiwanis Park

This 3-acre park is home to Lakewood’s largest skate park. The 12,000 sq. ft., in-ground, concrete skate park has proved extremely popular with youth from around the region. The park also has play equipment, seasonal restrooms and a walking path.
Lakewood Game Refuge
(Phillips Road, East of Oakbrook)
This 100-acre open space area is managed by the State Department of Fish and Wildlife and offers a trail system for walking and bicycling.
Oakbrook 7th Addition Park

This small neighborhood park offers picnic areas, open space and playground equipment.
Seeley Lake Park
(Lakewood Drive & 100th Street SW)
This 47-acre Pierce County Park is located in the middle of Lakewood and presents a loop trail surrounding woods and wetlands. This trail is popular with runners and walkers.
Springbrook Park
(12601 Addision Street SW)
This 3.5 acre park features a youth baseball field, play equipment, two half-court basketball courts and a picnic shelter.
