Crime (non-emergency)

Reporting an Emergency

Dial 9-1-1 to report any crime in progress, any medical emergency, and traffic crashes blocking the roadway or with possibility of injury.

Dial 9-1-1 to report suspicious persons, vehicles, or activity you think may lead to a crime.

Reporting a non-emergency crime

Call the non-emergency line (253) 798-4721 to report ‘cold’ crimes: old burglaries, car prowls, vandalism, illegal dumping – whenever a suspect is not on scene and an emergency response is not necessary.  This includes minor traffic collisions that are non-injury and non-blocking.

Another option for non-emergency reports is the Citizen Online Reporting link on the Police website.

The Lakewood Police Station main desk is open M – F, 9:00 am to 5 pm.  The number is (253) 830-5000 for non-emergency business.  They take questions about reports, impounded vehicles, traffic complaints, etc.  The main desk can not ‘dispatch’ police officers.
