The City of Lakewood's Rental Housing Safety Program requires all residential rental properties (apartments, single family homes, duplexes, etc.) within Lakewood city limits be registered. The program is designed to ensure that all rental housing units comply with specific life and safety standards and provide a safe place for people to live. All rental property owners were required to register their properties by Nov. 30, 2017 and have the property inspected once every five years.

Visit the city's Rental Housing Safety Program website to register a property, learn about the inspection process, see answers to frequently asked questions and more.
