A brand new revolutionary cleaning business has opened its flagship store here in Lakewood. First of its kind in the United States, they will assist our military service members and first responders, and save the government money. The team has big plans for the future.

Parent company, Mission Ready Services, Inc., and Protect The Force licensed a well proven technology restoration company in 2011 to develop a product and service to clean and repair tactical equipment. The company operations of 10-20 Services will serve customers like special operations command, first responders, and eventually expand to serve globally including the United Nations peace-keeping missions and other allied militaries. “First we want to serve the soldiers, police and fire here locally,” said President Clay Williamson. He further noted that, “The proximity to Joint Base Lewis McChord made Lakewood an ideal location for our flagship franchise operation. This is the first of many locations planned. The next stand up site is targeted for Fort Bragg, North Carolina.”

Before & After

The breadth of products is just being discovered. Having the capability to extend the life of, and make not-new uniforms, body armor, sleeping bags, helmets, and other mission critical gear “FDA food grade clean” brings great value to existing and new clients. Body armor is highly individualized to its wearer. 10-20 Services uses computer controlled washing machines and engineered detergents. The process forces water through the item and air dries everything, thus cleaning and preserving the body armor without diminishing the quality of the high strength Kevlar material.

General Manager Rich Burnite grew up in Lakewood and loves the area. Rich said, “I have never experienced a city government support a business in the way that the City of Lakewood staff has supported the introduction of 10-20 Services. The economic development and planning department staff have been extraordinarily cooperative and encouraging as we have built our facility and launched our brand. We are looking forward to a successful business future in Lakewood.” This highly innovative, creative and conscientious team has been a pleasure to work with. The City of Lakewood looks forward to seeing their great achievements both here and beyond our borders.
