Storm Debris Clean-Up Efforts

Per Lakewood Municipal Code 8.40.020(2), residents are responsible for the storm debris on their private properties including the area between their yards and the edge of roadway. Suggested drop-off areas for vegetation include:

Property owners unable to pick up and haul their own debris are recommended to contact a licensed landscaping company. The City is unable to provide any recommendations for companies. However, we encourage property owners to ensure any contractor they hire is licensed, registered, and bonded. Contact WA State Department of Labor and Industries ((800) 647-0982) or https://fortress.wa.gov/lni/bbip/ to check on contractors’ licensing.

The wet and cold weather has caused potholes in the pavement throughout the City. The City strives to fill these potholes within 24 hours of notification.

Please contact (253) 267-1628 to report potholes and/or for additional information on storm debris pick-up and disposal.
