CITY OF LAKEWOOD
2011 LODGING TAX GRANT
The City of Lakewood is soliciting project proposals that support and encourage tourism and cultural activities and tourism facilities in Lakewood, Washington. The source of monies from which projects will be funded is the city's share of taxes collected on overnight stays at hotels and motels within the City of Lakewood.
Beginning Thursday-July 8, 2010, application forms will be available on the City's Website at www.cityoflakewood.us and by contacting Melody at (253) 983-7769 or firstname.lastname@example.org. The 2011 Lodging Tax Grant Application provides information regarding eligible uses of motel/hotel tax revenues and the process for proposal submission.
Applications will be reviewed by the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee which will make funding recommendations to the Lakewood City Council. Final 2011 funding decisions will be made by the Lakewood City Council in November-2010.
Grant applications must be complete, signed, and received by the city's third floor receptionist, or received in the mail, no later than 4:00 p.m. on Thursday-July 29, 2010. Late applications will not be accepted.
