“We love that Lakewood is the best place for dogs,” said Ellie Chambers-Grady, economic development manager for the City of Lakewood. “We are honored.”
Fort Steilacoom Dog Park currently has a 4.5 star rating on Yelp and has been open since 2006.
According to reviews the park is a treat for dogs and pet owners. One owner added, “This place is great for any dog owner. I love taking my pups here and letting them play. All the owners that come here love dogs and love meeting new pups.” Another Yelp user stated, “This is a great dog park in the middle of a great park. I really appreciate the small dog and large dog areas. Well maintained areas, doggie bags available, and lots of non-fenced paths if you just want to walk and explore… Bottom line: definitely worth coming to!”
