If there's any doubt that the 2015 U.S. Open at Chambers Bay won't be well-attended, the following news blasted those doubts like Rory McIlroy's tee shot on a Par-5.
The United States Golf Association has announced that it has completely sold out of daily tickets for Saturday and Sunday, as well as all Friday Gallery and Trophy Club tickets. Only a handful of weekend tickets remain before the weekend will be completely sold out.
"Without a doubt, the Pacific Northwest is ready for the U.S. Open," Championship Director Danny Sink wrote in an email to the City today. "Daily tickets have sold out more quickly then they have for previous years"
